E2P

Fostering entrepreneurial education/training among young people is a necessity to meet challenges of today’s economic complexity. Taking into account current global economic crisis, starting up an own business is a chance for young people to meet the needs of a constantly changing labour market. In this sense, particularly graduates from vocational education should be made aware of the occasion to set up own an own business in the fields they have learned.

WHY is necessary E2P?

There is a lack of entrepreneurial mindset, a lack of information and communication structures and a lack of education and training on demand. This hinders foundation and longevity of already founded enterprises and self employment activities.

To solve that, e Portfolios (transfer of the eProfilPASS), in combination with the knowledge portal (information for young entrepreneurs in all phases of the formation of an enterprise; transfer of www.frauengruenden.info) will provide an excellent portal to identify and improve entrepreneurial skills.

This is achieved by transferring a knowledge portal exploiting existent knowledge repository with crucial information for young entrepreneurs in a multilingual environment; transferring a transnational  e-Portfolio solution covering the most important competences for founding an enterprise (competences based learning, identification of non formal an informal acquired competences); building and fostering networks consisting of VET and related institutions; implementing outcomes in partner organisations and the network.

Emphasis is put on a gender sensitive design of all instruments and a balanced percentage of men and women in targets and beneficiaries groups.

WHAT is E2P?

The project idea is based on learning about recent good practices and seeks to include info about valuable initiatives, e.g. for networking, improving processes, and acquiring skills. Based on partners experiences on this it aims to provide easy to reach tools that further guide entrepreneurs and show paths for developing. Much entrepreneurial info and high quality pedagogical material and training has been developed but many separated one-language content resources are currently not exploited at European dimensions due to limited networking/promotion facilities.

Through interconnectivity of existing knowledge resources, e-learning concepts and web 2.0 technology, the project will provided orientation/guidance to learners and teachers.

We can use web 2.0 methodology as a tool for identifying entrepreneurial competences, to facilitate communication and collaborative problem-solving between entrepreneurs in advance, knowledge sharing and as a basis to identify fitting e-learning solutions.

SURE PROJECT

All the cities involved in the SURE Project are facing similar situations and problems, as well as similar challenges. Most of the participating cities have already begun to make physical development of the areas. However, in many cases, suffer from lack of experience on comprehensive urban rehabilitation programs.

Participating cities pointed out the importance of urban rehabilitation and have identified specific problems linked to depressed urban areas needed of socio-economic rehabilitation programs. These problems are:
  • Local economies are inflexible- The growth potential sectors, in many cases, have not been identified and exploited.
  • Black economy- Affecting economic activity and investment opportunities.
  • The proximity of the depressed areas with the town centre has a negative effect on the attractiveness of the cities centre.
  • Bad conditions of buildings and infrastructures of the depressed areas.
  • High proportion of social inequalities (unemployment, ageing population, public security problems, etc ...) and low citizen participation.
The recent economic crisis requires the implementation of comprehensive urban rehabilitation actions. Taking into account everything said, the SURE Project has as fundamental aim the sustainable development and rehabilitation of the depressed urban areas, through:
  • The promotion of the diversification of local economies / Economic Development
  • The promotion of the Community development / Social
  • The development of innovative systems for housing / Housing
  • The improvement of job opportunities / Employment
In an attempt to achieve the objectives before described, the project will work, especially, on the following sub-themes:
  • Encouraging diversification of local economies- Exploitation of sectors with higher growth potential.
  • Promotion of the Community development. The aim is to increase the attractiveness of depressed areas to attract business and investment.
  • To develop innovative systems for homes- To increase the quality of life in rural areas through the innovative housing development and rehabilitation programs for the existing homes.
  • Improvement of employment opportunities. Social improvements in the target areas of the project through local employment programs connected with the socio-economic rehabilitation of the area (for example, improving the training of residents with special training programs)
In short, the final result will be a SURE project Local Action Plan (LAP) where are settled the strategies to follow to combat the problems identified.

ERASMUS FOR YOUNG ENTREPENEURS

The objective of the program is to encourage entrepreneurship, competitiveness, globalization and growth of Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) start ups or already established by transferring know-how between experienced entrepreneurs and new entrepreneurs.

This is a unique opportunity for European entrepreneurs to spend two months working with an experienced entrepreneur in other country members of the European Union (EU) learning how to manage and implement their own business. This is the concept of "Erasmus for young entrepreneurs." Similarly, employers will welcome entrepreneurs of any of the 27 member states that they can assist in the internationalization of SMEs.
